This is our Rosh Yeshiva, HaRav Hillel Faerman who
with great vision founded Yeshivat Tsama Nafshi
Below note the wonderful Rav holding the milk. This is HaRav Zeev Abramowitz, who gives a very popular breakfast Shiur on the thought of the incomparable Rav Eliezer Dessler, the descendent of the Salanter Rav, the founder of the Mussar Movement.
The rag-tag group around him are some of our stellar students who love to learn and to EAT. The smiles are genuine and YES, there is homemade cheesecake every day. You will love these guys and this Shiur so come any day for a visit, but be prepared to feel you want to come back every day for wonderful learning and comaraderie.
Our yeshiva was founded at Tel Stone; then Rav Faerman set up what is now the main branch in Romema . TSAMA NAFSHI MEANS "MY SOUL THIRSTS," and that is the only requirement to enter. All shiurim are conducted in English. We have talmidim from all ages and backgrounds. Some come every day, some come once or twice a week as they have jobs or other obligations. Some come from the States and other countries to study for a month or so at a time, then return home only to come back to us over and over again.
The atmosphere is warm, friendly and welcoming. Some study Gemara and Mishna in the text and others feel more comfortable confining themselves to Tanakh, Halacha and Parashat HaShavua. Check out our page when Staff and Students give first hand testimony to their experience at Tsama Nafshi. There is every reason to come give this exciting learning a try, so just DO IT !!
